Dutch in Acle 2

There is a well known direct link between the landscape of Holland and that of Norfolk. As well as the rich tradition of 18^th Century Dutch painting and its parallel Norwich School of painting. These are the paintings that I return to time and time again for technical if not spiritual guidance. So ‘Going Dutch in Acle’ was painted along the Acle straight road that links Norwich with Gt Yarmouth, nothing much happens along the road, fields cows and the occasional windmill, which I deliberately didn’t include- well I didn’t want to get too sentimental, did I ?
